TV on PC software lets you watch TV on your computer, and NO you just don't get your basic channels you get hundreds and sometimes thousands of channels. It's like cable tv without the price tag.
If you've been looking for a way to take your cable tv with you I'm sure youv'e seen tons of TV on PC sites promising you to be able to watch thousands of satellite tv channels for "FREE".
The honest truth is TV on your PC just in not free. I don't know who makes these rules but hey. what can we do?

The Answer: "Yup" it's real, its 100% real! But not to get you all excited on TV on PC programs but they are "NOT" all created equal! My team and me took on the task on exploring and reviewing this new way of watching TV on your desktop or laptop.
Some TV on PC software give you a much higher quality experience as far as channels, picture and sound quality go. Every one would love to have the largest Channel selection, clearest picture, fastest loading times and great customer support right?.

How to choose the best Satellite TV on PC checklist.
- Satellite TV on PC software should be as easy to use as your home TV.
- Connecting to your favorite channels should be fast with minimal loading times.
- Clear picture and sound according to your internet connection of course.
- You shouldn't have to be an einstein to learn how to use all the different features of the software
- If you send them an email they better reply within hours at most!
- Most importantly they need to have a pretty large selection of channels.

And what did I find? After sorting through all these different sites I found nothing but junk, these TV on PC software sucked! Sorry for being so vulgar.
I found software that gave us horrible channel selections, sluggish connection speeds which are very important, choppy channels and ridiculous sound quality. To top it all off some TV to PC software couldn't even be installed on my computers . When it came time for refunds lets just say "they sneaked out the back door" leaving me with absolutely nothing, no email, no call, no pat on the back for being robbed "NOTHING" |
The 15-20 Satellite TV on PC software I tested just couldn't live up to their own hype!
Right before I through in the towel...
the stars aligned, the radient sun was beaming, birds where chirping when all of a sudden I stunbled upon the "Cream of the crop" of Satellite TV on PC. It was almost too good to be true. It's almost like a well kept secret.
What software was it? Satellite PC PRO
Yup they offered tons of features like being able to record shows, movies and sports. It's kind of like DVR but they call it NETVO. They had thousands of channels and by the looks of it, the channels were pretty sharp.

Ease of use:
Satellite PC Pro was very fun and easy to use. They provide a "how-to-tutorials" that were very helpful if you happen to get stuck downloading the software. It was really a breeze for me so I don't see any problems here.
Since you can choose what you want to watch from catagories, I found exactly what I wanted to watch almost everytime.
Connection Speed:
My connection speed was fast but again I have a cable internet connection that lets me load channels with ease. Their were some channels from different countries that did take a bit longer to becasue of where the channels were hosted.
For this review I disconnected my lightning fast internent connection and plugged in a telephone line 56k connection. Surprisingly for what it is the channels loaded up in a reasonable time. No other software gave me this capability.++
Channel Selection:
Their Channel Selection was astounding with 1500 plus channels all at your fingers tips. Sports, music, movies, meather, news, shopping networks, kids channels, educational channels and more.
Picture Quality:
Satellite PC Pro's picture quality was really good. I was really surprised that they actually have high definition channels. It wasn't the same for every channel though, some did come in kind of rough. The good channels out weigh the bad channels by a long shot.
